Jerry Thomas' West Virginia Sports Promotions team are making final preparations for the 26th Annual PARSONS FORD TOUGHMAN CONTEST that will be held this Friday and Saturday, February 17th & 18th, at the Berkeley Recreation Center, located in Lambert Park, on Woodbury Ave in Martinsburg, WV.
In addition to all the action and excitement that the Toughman Contest delivers, a Professional MUAY Thai Kick Boxing match will be presented on Saturday night's card, pitting Jeremy Carper, of Martinsburg vs Devin Izzard, Harrisonburg, VA. Also on Saturday's card, Hard Knocks MMA Champion Chris Gatton, of Martinsburg will face Josh Armstrong, of Oakland, MD.
The host hotel is the COMFORT INN of Martinsburg.
Tickets are on sale at the Martinsburg-Berkeley Parks & Rec office, Extreme Family Fitness, at Factory Direct Carpets in Chambersburg and area Roc's Convenient Stores. Tickets will also be sold at the door both nights, beginning at 6:30pm. The event will start at 7:30pm both nights with the presentation of the colors by the United States Marine Corps and the singing of the national anthem Chris Armel.
The event is sanctioned and will be supervised by the WV State Athletic Commission.
